Rachel McTavish

Rachel McTavish joined ITN in August 1998 as a video journalist and reporter.

Rachel went to school in Liverpool and graduated in 1996 with a degree in journalism and media production from Bournemouth University.

Before joining ITN, she worked for BBC Radio Merseyside and Channel One Liverpool.

At ITN, she first worked as a production journalist, producing packages for Channel 5 News and ITN's World News on American public television. She also presented regular updates on Channel 5 News.

In August 2000 she joined the ITN News Channel as a presenter, and transferred to the ITV News Channel at its launch in 2002.

She can currently be seen presenting the overnight summaries and the ITV Morning News on alternate weeks. She also presents London Today's GMTV bulletins.
