Felicity Barr

Felicity Barr is a newscaster on the ITV News Channel, presenting with Steve Scott on weekday afternoons. She also presents the sports news on the ITV News at 10.30.

An experienced sports reporter, Felicity joined ITV News in June 2001, and has specialised in sports coverage since 1994 when she was working as a freelance journalist for radio and television.

Her first major assignment on joining ITV News was to cover Wimbledon, where she secured an interview with the new men's champion, Goran Ivanisevic, moments after his historic victory.

Felicity spent five years in radio before moving to television, where she presented the football programme A406 for Meridian TV. She joined Meridan Television in Newbury in 1996 and spent three years covering all aspects of local sport.

Moving to London in 1999 she went to London News Network's London Tonight programme to present and report on sporting events. She also presented LWT's Goals Extra programme.

Amongst the many sporting fixtures she has covered have been Euro 2000, the build-up to the 2000 Sydney Olympics, the Open Golf Championship and the FA Cup.
