History

The ITV News Channel is a 24-hour television news service in the United Kingdom.

The News Channel is available on digital terrestrial (Freeview), cable and satellite.

It launched in August 2000 as the ITN News Channel.

The service became the ITV News Channel on 30 September 2002.

The next major milestone in the service's history was 2 February 2004 when the channel was relaunched with a new set, logo, format and schedule.
